Terms of Use

Use of any page, search feature, or written resource on Crisp County Criminal History constitutes agreement to these conditions. A visitor who does not accept them must discontinue use of the site.

NO FCRA USE. Crisp County Criminal History is privately operated and is unaffiliated with Crisp County, the State of Georgia, or any federal agency. The site and its advertisers do not offer services for employment, credit, tenant, insurance, or other decisions governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). This resource identifies public criminal-record sources in Georgia and Crisp County; it is not a consumer reporting agency or private investigative service.

1. What This Website Is

This privately run reference resource is independent of every government office. It does not keep official records, submit filings, retrieve documents on a visitor's behalf, or perform an official background check.

Its pages direct readers to custodians such as Crisp County courts and the sheriff, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Georgia Crime Information Center, and the Georgia Sex Offender Registry. A page may also provide access to an unaffiliated search company.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of access, you must not:

  • Deploy a bot, scraper, or other automated means against the site
  • Use site content for decisions involving housing, employment, credit, or insurance
  • Interfere with site operation or another visitor's access
  • Attempt to enter protected systems or obtain unauthorized access
  • Threaten, stalk, or harass a person using information found here
  • Violate a federal, Georgia, or local law through use of the site

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information obtained through these pages may not be used to intimidate, threaten, stalk, harass, or unlawfully discriminate against anyone. This prohibition applies with particular force to Georgia Sex Offender Registry material, which is provided for lawful safety awareness rather than abuse or vigilantism. Misuse can also be governed by ordinary civil and criminal law.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not create consumer reports, credit reports, or background checks. Our advertisers likewise do not furnish site services for evaluating employment or rental applications, insurance eligibility, or creditworthiness. Information from this site or a linked tool must not be used to:

  • Assess a person's credit or establish an insurance premium
  • Evaluate a renter or applicant for housing
  • Make an employment or termination decision
  • Determine eligibility for a permit, license, or government benefit
  • Support any other decision regulated by the FCRA

An FCRA-regulated purpose requires a properly authorized official process or a provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content provides general information, not legal advice. A summary of Crisp County procedures cannot decide how Georgia law on a warrant, charge, conviction, or record restriction applies to particular circumstances. Legal questions should be addressed to an attorney licensed in Georgia.

6. No Warranties

All site material and functions are supplied "as is," without a guarantee that:

  • An outside search provider's result will be accurate or comprehensive
  • The website will remain available without interruption
  • Any page is free from defects, errors, or security vulnerabilities
  • Information is complete, accurate, or current when viewed

Criminal-record status changes as charges are filed or dismissed and records are sealed or restricted. Updates and omissions are therefore unavoidable. No content here is an official representation from a sheriff, court, or other government agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may direct visitors to court portals, sheriff and state-agency websites, legal-aid organizations, or independent search companies. Those services are outside our control. We accept no responsibility for their availability, content, privacy practices, fees, or other conduct, and visitors should read the destination's terms before proceeding.

8. Intellectual Property

Crisp County Criminal History or the relevant content partner owns the applicable text, graphics, logos, and code. Prior written authorization is required to copy, alter, distribute, or create derivative material from that property.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for damages arising from site use, including reliance on material obtained here or through a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against a claim, demand, or proceeding resulting from your use of the site or violation of these terms, including associated legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Georgia law, including applicable portions of the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act, O.C.G.A. §§ 10-1-390 through 10-1-407. The Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. §§ 50-18-70 through 50-18-77, and criminal-history dissemination provisions in O.C.G.A. §§ 35-3-34 and 35-3-35 govern official records rather than converting this private site into a public agency. Any dispute arising from site use must be filed in a Georgia court.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. A revision becomes effective when it is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or terminated at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected language will be modified only to the minimum extent needed for enforceability.

15. Questions

Questions concerning these conditions may be submitted through the Contact page.
