Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is transmitted directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies the response; Crisp County Criminal History does not retain or record those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email sent to us when needed to prepare a response. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive limited technical information when a visitor loads a page, including:
- The date and time of each page request
- The referring website, when one is available
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them
- Browser name and version
- Device category and operating system
- The device's assigned IP address
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. We and our analytics services use them to understand traffic in aggregate, such as which pages receive visits and where sessions end. A visitor may disable cookies through browser controls, although doing so can change how some site features function.
What We Do With This Data
- Routing a submitted query to the appropriate search partner
- Diagnosing errors and other technical problems
- Maintaining availability and page performance
- Understanding which resources visitors use and where improvements may be needed
- Displaying advertising that may reflect a visitor's interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
Crisp County Criminal History neither maintains nor sells a collection of personal criminal records. Official material remains with Crisp County courts and law enforcement, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Georgia Crime Information Center, and the Georgia Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is not used to assemble a criminal profile or consumer report, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes appearing on this site. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and disclosure practices apply to information entered there, and we do not direct those practices. Review the applicable provider's policy before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Crisp County offices, Georgia agencies, court systems, legal-aid resources, or commercial search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's privacy terms control. Those terms should be reviewed before any personal information is provided.
Some advertising companies may use their own systems to observe activity across websites and select interest-based ads. We do not operate that cross-site tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal information is not sold by this site. It may nevertheless be received by:
- Analytics vendors measuring traffic and site performance
- Advertising networks serving material on these pages
- Outside search providers processing a query
- Government or law-enforcement authorities acting under a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards protect information collected here. No internet-connected system is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access or a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a person younger than 18. If we learn that a minor supplied such information, we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Rights not listed here may arise under applicable Georgia law, including the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act, O.C.G.A. §§ 10-1-390 through 10-1-407. The Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. §§ 50-18-70 through 50-18-77, concerns records held by public agencies, while dissemination of Georgia criminal-history information is separately controlled by O.C.G.A. §§ 35-3-34 and 35-3-35. Subject to legal and technical limitations, a visitor may:
- Object to certain forms of processing
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Ask for access to personal information we retain
- Seek deletion of that information
